Webmasters Note: July 18, 2010

On July 16th, 2010 our father, grand father and great grand father Frank G. Zywiczynski went to be with his wife and the rest of the Robbins Crew. Dad became a great grand father in April 2010 When Blake and Brandi Paucek welcomed baby Carter Paucek into this world.

The whole Zywiczynski clan would like to extend our heart felt thanks to everyone during this difficult time.

Some other news, the webmasters address has also changed for us. So please make note of it and if anyone has information to share, please email to mailto:aige@woh.rr.com which we be the acting webmaster address. Thanks and Welcome Back to BehindBardedWire.

Thursday July 22, 2010: Today was dads funeral, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the PGR for their dedication and honors that they bestowed upon my father and his family. I would also like to extend a personal thank you to PGR Ride Captian Jon Williams for the wonderful plaque they gave us from the PGR. Also a personal thank you to Jack Tate who made the ride out all the way from Pennsylvania, even after he sufferd the loss of his wife the day before dad died. We would also like to thank Jack for stepping in along with his PGR friends to be the Pallbearers. It gave us all a special feeling knowing that Jack had helped to carry dad to his final resting place. I'm sure it was as much of an honor for Jack as it was for us to have him do that. Thank you again to all the PGR guys who came out for us, if there is anything we can every do to help please don't hesitate to ask.

I heard but did not see the fly over, but everyone who did see it told me how fitting and wonderful it was to see the old "prop" jobs fly over mom and dads grave. The fly over happened a few minutes after Bev and I and our girls had pulled away. I wish I would have seen it, we weren't sure if the fly over was going to happen. The last we were told, the B-24 was down for airframe maintenance.

Also, at the last posting the book "NOT AS BRIEFED" from the Doolittle Raid to a German Stalg was being offered for pre-publication ordering. This is Col. C. Ross Greeings book of sketches and much more compilied by his widow Dorothy Greening and niece Karen Morgan Driscoll. Many of our past visitors had inquired about obtaining a copy. Click the book cover to go directly to the order form, and let them know you got the link from us!
